How do I get a Library Card?
It is simple to get a library card. Just stop in to fill out a registration card and bring a valid picture ID or other proof of residence such as a utility bill, a driver’s license, or a piece of mail addressed to you. If you are under 16, you will need a parent or guardian to show the proper ID and sign a statement of responsibility for you.

When you get a library card you sign an agreement to return library materials on time. You also agree to take care of library materials so that they are in good shape for the next user.

Where do I return materials?
When the library is open, you can return materials to the circulation desk or the drop boxes, located in the entryway. The drop boxes are available to you 24 hours a day. You may also return MORE materials to any MORE library in our system.

Does the library charge a late fee?
Yes the Frederic library charges $1 per day for overdue videos and DVDs, and 10 cents per day for all other late items. Borrowers need to be aware that different overdue fees apply to items borrowed from other libraries. It is the patron’s responsibility to pay overdue, damage, and replacement charges in a timely manner.

Loan Periods

DVDs, videos, and magazines---1 week

Can I reserve books and other library materials?
Yes, the MORE system allows patrons to place holds on items, and an automated notification system will call or send an email notice to the patron when the materials come into the library. Reserved materials that are not picked up after one week will be taken off the reserve shelf and the hold will be removed from the patron record.

How can I renew my materials?
You may renew your materials in several ways. You can choose to go online to www.more.lib.wi.us, and renew your materials by choosing the “My Account” tab and following the instructions. To renew by telephone, you may call the library or you can renew through the MORE Telephone Renewal System by calling 1-866-MYRENEW. You can also bring your materials to the library for onsite renewal. If other patrons have requested the material you have checked out, your renewal will be denied.

How do I find books and other materials?
The best source for finding books and other materials in the library is to ask the library staff. They will help you search the MORE online catalog and answer your questions.
